Necessities Bag, Inc. is a non profit organization that provides a “bag of goodies” to mastectomy patients. The contents of the bag are items that will assist them in their recovery from surgery. Included are soft little pillows that can be used under the arm as support and comfort.
DIRECTIONS FOR SEWING OF THE PILLOW
You have been provided with two 11 ½ inch squares of fabric. Place right sides together (minimal pinning if desired). Sew with a ½ inch seam around perimeter, leaving an opening of approximately 4 inches. Back track at beginning and ending of sewing for reinforcement.
Turn pillow right side out. Press.
Stuff with the amount of stuffing that has been provided. (The pillows are meant to be soft and cushy.) Spread around stuffing to make it consistent in feel.
On outside of pillow, pin together the opening and machine stitch it closed with matching thread, close to the edge of the pillow.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR GIFT OF LOVE IN MAKING THIS PILLOW. Questions??? Contact Sally Vandervort at sallyv2835@comcast.net or 916-989-2835
