Welcome to Pioneer Quilters Guild

The Pioneer Quilters Guild is a non-profit organization dedicated to the growth and knowledge of quilting techniques, patterns and the history of quilt making.

We meet monthly, eleven months a year.  We share ideas, learn from speakers and each other, work on community service projects, enjoy camp, and showcase our work in our annual quilt show.  We invite you to join us!

2012 OPPORTUNITY QUILT

Our 2012 Opportunity quilt, “Festival of Stars,” is an expanded version of the original design, “Dutch Treasure,” by Jacqueline de Jonge.  Made from batiks, it  measures 74” x 91”.  It was created by Leslie Brush Hauck – Team Leader, Pam Burke, Linda Cherry, Margie Cruz, Rose Dervin, Barbara Francis, Patti Gray, Betty Kisbey, Denise Konar, Denise Long, Linda Moran, Sue Pharis, Bev Rognlien, Billie Sanderson, and Lisa Umphenour, and quilted by Lin Squires of Lin’s Longarm Quilting.  Along with her lovely original quilting designs, Lin used special batting to enhance the quilt design and add dimension.  We will sell tickets throughout 2012 and draw the winning ticket at our December 3 guild meeting.

We want to keep the guild relatively small, so membership is limited to 150.  We have a waiting list, and we accept new members in January.  We welcome guests to our meetings, classes and many of our activities.
